Now I want to chat about Kombucha. Which is obviously entirely unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I understand you won't mind.

Let me start off by stating that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with water daily to decrease inflammation or something like this.

He claims it is magical. I assert it's nasty.

While I understand this will seem spectacular (because it is), I literally dry heave at the sight and odor of the morning ritual to a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.

Depending upon this reaction, an individual would think that I would stay far away from Kombucha, correct? I suggest, after all, it certainly comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for some reason, I continue trying it. I want to like it SO DANG BAD.

All these Banana Oatmeal Cookies are very simple to make and filled with banana flavor.

I am literally a marketer's fantasy because each and every time I see someone I know liking a sip, or simply denying their favourite brand and flavor with a boomerang on Instagram, I am all,"Maybe you will actually taste acceptable!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the term enjoying cause I think it is difficult to think this stuff is really enjoyable in almost any sense of the word.

Along with spoiler alert. Not one of them taste great. None.

Even the ones which people claim are light are a huge contraceptive for me personally. They taste like freaking bubbly vinegar.

I am basically sure that anybody who drinks this fermented tea stuff gets zero taste buds, or severely funky ones.

I've literally tried every single brand that my community marketplace conveys and I HATED, maybe not overdone, HATED every single one.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies are tender, chewy and studded with chocolate. Stir in walnuts or pecans to get just a tiny pinch!

Yes, I know hate is a very strong word, but there is really no other way to describe my emotions towards kombucha. And I only had to inform y’all of my true feelings on this one. Who is with me?

Let us totally switch gears. One thing I love? Cookies.

Out of no bake cookies and effortless sugar cookies to those banana oatmeal cookies, it's turned into a love affair that has gone on here at MBA for nearly a decade today.

While I am not claiming these banana oatmeal biscuits will be the least bit healthy (because hello butter and sugar ), I am claiming they are delicious.

They have the ideal quantity of banana flavor and a beautiful chewy feel because of its oats. The chocolate chips are merely an extra bonus.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT THESE BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies possess a soft, chewy texture. If you're looking for a standard oatmeal cookie, then this is not the cookie you're looking for. However, you should definitely check out my Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies and those Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. If you're not fond of oatmeal biscuits my favourite chocolate chip cookies, might just become your new fave.

I enjoy these cookies somewhat about the left handed side, therefore I bake them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you want them to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 seconds.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies are soft, chewy and studded with chocolate. The perfect use for all those unsalted peanuts!

I'll click for info say that the oats makes them look as a breakfast cookie, so they are all kinds of amazing with a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the morning.

I did add some chopped peppers to a batch instead of chocolate chips, however, everybody definitely chosen the chocolate chips over the nuts.



My friend Amber would inquire,"¿por que no los dos?" , which apparently means"why not ?" (She's from Texas, so I trust that she's true ), and also you can certainly do this also.

These cookies are a fantastic way to use those super ripe bananas sitting on your counter tops at this time. I won't even tell anybody that they're not actually breakfast cookies. Enjoy!

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats



DIRECTIONS:



From the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the mashed bananas and vanilla.



Gradually add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just combined.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.

Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then gently press the tops of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Because these cookies don't spread much, this can give them a conventional cookie form.

Permit the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
